I find myself identifying with each in some aspect of my life. I have reluctantly been forced to follow Jesus in some instances like Simon. I have tried to reason with people and then washed my hands of them like Pilate. I have stood at a distance like the women. I have also at times been bold enough to ask for something in Jesus' name like Joseph. I would hope that through all these experiences I would learn much from the examples of those in the bible and from the consequences of my own actions so that my future experiences will be more akin to the ones we uphold in the bible rather than those we try to learn from their mistakes.
