My trials at the moment are mainly concerned with keeping a tight rein on my tongue. I think ultimately, it is my own pride, needing to have the last word, to be right, to "show them,". . . But I also see God's mercy in allowing me to see my weakness in this area, and deal with the consequences in order to better understand this area of sin in my life and turn it over to him. It truly is my own evil desire and not God tempting me. And so I am having to persevere (I just noticed the word "severe" in there) in faith that God helping me learn and be a better person and witness by denying my pride and my tongue control over me.
