I think my favorite is the healing of the demon-possessed man, because he was completely and utterly taken by his "illness." He was an outcast, feared, left to the torment of the demons while he lived in the tombs outside the city. Jesus showed the man mercy and compassion when no one else would even think of approaching him anymore. And then Jesus freed him to go spread the word of that mercy and compassion. Of these 3, this is the story that moves me the most because of the magnitude of torment that the man was in and the healing that took place, assumably without his asking for it. (the demons were in charge of his words and actions I guess) It gives me hope that because Jesus does know me and love me that when I am in need and can not for whatever reason ask for help, he still helps me. He sees my need and cares enough to heal.
