What do you think the twelve may have been feeling when Jesus appointed them to be his disciples? How do you feel knowing that Jesus calls you to be his disciple?

I think they were in awe of a powerful teacher whom they had seen do miracles and teach the scriptures with authority. They didn't realize exactly who Jesus was, as God's Son, but they knew he was someone worth following and worth ticking off the religious leaders over. - I also feel privileged and humbled to be a disciple of Jesus myself in that I KNOW that Jesus is God's son, God among us, the Prince of Peace, and yet he can forgive, have mercy on, and call me personally to follow him. That's pretty awesome.
